Debuting this week is the first and second seasons of the half-hour racy French science fiction anthology series, Métal Hurlant Chronicles, on Monday at 8 E/P which is based on the same French comics that inspired the Heavy Metal animated movie and graphic novels in the U.S. How much of the graphic series will survive after the Syfy censors hack at it, is yet to be known – but bets are that Syfy will keep the blood and gore and cut the naughty bits.

Also debuting in BBC America is the four-part documentary series, Real History of Science Fiction, with the first installment focuses on robots.

Returning this week are Warehouse 13 for its fifth and final season and the critically acclaimed Orphan Black for its sophomore year.
