Preliminary Genre TV Ratings for Wednesday, Oct. 23

Due to the world series on FOX, most shows on other networks fell – particularly so-called “reality” programs and those that appeal to men.

Although, interestingly – not as much as most East Coast folk would assume – as the games are over well before 8 p.m. here on the West Coast.

Preliminary Nielsen overnight numbers for genre shows, broadcast:

Network Show 18-49 Rating Percent of 18-49 yearolds watching Total viewers, in millions
NBC Revolution 1.4 4 5.05
CW Arrow 0.9 3 2.81
CW The Tomorrow People 0.6 2 1.89

Revolution tied its series low reached last week. (Still almost double the ratings of the now-cancelled Ironsides).

Both CW shows were down from last week, as expected from the World Series competition for male-leaning audiences.

These may be adjusted up or down later today when the final broadcast and cable numbers come in.
