Sunset for ABC’s ‘Day Break’ as show cancelled
I swear Adam Baldwin (Firefly, Serenity, VR.5) is either cursed or is the victim of some cosmic joke. ABC announced Friday that his current TV series, Day Break, is headed for the television scrap heap. This brings to eight the number of TV series featuring Baldwin that were cancelled within the first year of his joining a cast. Ouch.
The series, which according is where, “Taye Diggs (Kevin Hill) stars in an action-packed, thrilling re-imagining of the Groundhog Day concept from director Rob Bowman (The X-Files, Reign of Fire) and the writer of After the Sunset. Hopper must find the delicate balance between doing what’s important and what’s right to get through this killer day and move on to tomorrow.”
Now that groundhog has been banished to dot-com land as ABC reschedules programs like America’s Funniest Home Videos and George Lopez to cover for the dearly departed Day Break. ABC assured fans of the show that the series will air on its website – but didn’t give any details as to when that would happen.
